I quite often get asked by people about equipment now, which is something that used to happen infrequently. I began a year or two ago by just listing the equipment I have chosen to use for my particular job which is wedding & portrait photography. Due to the interest, I thought I would just write a few words, or a mini review about each piece and explain how I find working with it in the job I do. These thoughts as I’ve called them can be of general use as it will apply to many types of photography often, but remember that I am writing from the perspective of a working wedding and portrait photographer. I have been doing this for quite a few years now, and during that time I have amassed a collection of 37 lenses that I have currently. Almost all of the lenses below, I still have as I generally do not sell my glass. Where I have since sold it on, I have and will continue to mention it and the reason. If you have any comments, please feel free to write to me at the link below and my contact details are available on the Dickson Photography home-page if you are interested in hiring me for your wedding or a portrait shoot. I hope you find this of some use in exploring the world through your photography....
