Nikon speedlights The table below is a quick guide to enable people to quickly check the most common specifications between the various Nikon speedlights currently available. Since doing the write-up on the Metz 58 AF-1, I've been getting quite a few questions about it, so I thought I'd include it here as many people seem to be deciding between the SB-800 and 58 AF-1. I hope you find it of some use.. |

*1 - Metz technical data sheet indicates recycling time of between .1 - 5 seconds using Ni-Mh, but unable to give fair comparrison to other speedlights so omitted from table *2 - 14mm is achieved with SB-600 & SB-800 using built-in adapter, likewise Metz reaches 18mm using its built-in adapter.
* specifications gathered from downloaded manuals of the various speedlights and from the Nikon, Metz & B&H websites. |
